Most dental SEO pricing you'll find online is published by companies selling dental SEO. Here's what practices are typically quoted, where those numbers come from, and how to tell whether a quote is fair for your practice.
The short answer
Dental marketing agencies commonly quote about $1,000 to $3,000 per month for SEO for a single-location practice, with higher prices in competitive cities and for multi-location groups. Those figures come from agency pricing guides, not independent surveys. The right price depends on your market, how many locations you have, and how much work your profile, reviews and website need.

Where the numbers come from
Dental agency pricing guides commonly cite about $1,000–$3,000 per month for a single practice, with budget packages below that and premium or multi-location work above it.
General SEO pricing data: in Ahrefs' 2024 survey of 439 SEO providers, the most common monthly retainer was $501–$1,000, while averages were about $1,349 for freelancers and about $3,200 for agencies and consultancies.
The catch: we couldn't find an independent, published survey of dental SEO prices. Treat any single number, including ours, as context rather than a standard.
What you should get at each price level
Typical quote
What it often includes
Watch for
Under ~$1,000/month
Profile setup, basic on-page fixes, a monthly report
Automated reports and little real work. Fine for small, less competitive markets if the scope is clear
~$1,000–$3,000/month
Google Business Profile management, treatment pages, review strategy, technical fixes, reporting on calls and bookings
Make sure content is written for your practice, not reused across clients
$3,000+/month
Competitive metros, specialty practices, multiple locations, more content and link building
Clear evidence of what the extra spend buys
One-time audit or project
A prioritized plan your team or website company can carry out
A list of "errors" with no priorities isn't an audit
What drives the price for a dental practice
Competition in your area. A practice in a large metro faces far more competition than one in a smaller market.
Number of locations. Each location needs its own profile, page and reviews.
Treatments you want to grow. Implants, Invisalign and cosmetic work each need strong, specific pages.
Your starting point. An unclaimed profile, few reviews or an outdated site means more up-front work.
Who does the work. Freelancers, agencies and senior consultants price differently.
Will it pay off? A simple estimate
Use your own numbers. Illustrative example only: if SEO costs $1,500 a month and a new patient brings in $1,000 in their first year, about two additional new patients a month covers the cost. Higher-value treatments like implants change the math considerably. Your real numbers will differ, and no provider can guarantee a number of new patients.
Questions to ask any dental SEO company
What exactly will you do each month, and who does it?
How will you measure results: calls, booked appointments, or just rankings?
How do you handle review replies without disclosing patient information?
Will I own my website, Google Business Profile and analytics?
What are the contract length and cancellation terms?
Reviews matter for local rankings, but dental practices have extra obligations. The U.S. Department of Health and Human Services has settled with dental practices that disclosed patient information in replies to online reviews. Any dental SEO provider should build privacy-safe review replies into the plan. See our review reply templates.
The bottom line
Many practices are quoted $1,000–$3,000 a month, but the right number is the one tied to specific work and measured in new patients. Start by understanding what your practice actually needs. Our dental SEO page covers what the work involves, and the free consultation gives you a prioritized plan before you spend anything.

FAQ
Dental SEO cost: common questions
How much does dental SEO cost per month?
Pricing guides published by dental marketing agencies commonly quote about $1,000 to $3,000 per month for a single-location practice, with more for competitive cities and multi-location groups. There's no independent, published survey of dental SEO prices that we could verify, so treat these as typical quotes, not a market standard.
Is cheap dental SEO worth it?
It depends on what's included. Low-cost packages often cover only basic setup or automated reports. Ask exactly what will be done each month and how results will be measured. A smaller budget focused on your Google Business Profile, reviews and a few strong treatment pages can be worth more than a larger, vague package.
How long before dental SEO pays off?
Profile and listing fixes can show results within weeks; treatment pages and reviews typically take several months to build. Because a new patient can be worth far more than their first visit, a practice often needs only a few additional patients per month to cover the cost, but no one can guarantee results.
Should a dental SEO contract lock me in?
Be cautious of long contracts with automatic renewal and long notice periods. SEO takes months, so a short initial commitment can be reasonable, but you should always own your website, Google Business Profile and analytics, and be able to leave with them.
